At Fountain of Life We adjust the spine and add other supportive measures like physical therapy, decompression, nutrition, and neurological rehabilitation to treat various ailments and dysfunctions.
We adjust the spinal joints that are not moving enough, (called subluxation). Subluxation is when our spinal joints, and other joints in the body stop moving properly, degenerate and become inflamed and send stress signals (nociception) to the brain. This can lead the brain to release the stress hormone cortisol contributing to chronic stress in our bodies. This can sometimes, but not always lead to pain, headaches, and discomfort.
Restoring motion in the spine reduces these stress signals to and from the brain, the stress hormone levels, and therefore decreases the overall stress load on the body. So not only do our patients pain levels drop, but often times find that other health problems improve or completely go away! It’s all about reducing stress on the spine and nervous system to allow our bodies to run and regulate optimally!
